We are experienced in commercial, industrial and residential friable asbestos removal.
Our expertise is in highly sensitive environments such as hospitals, schools, high rise office buildings. We currently sit on the Victorian Schools Building Authority.
Clean and Gone’s Class A asbestos removal supervisors have been interviewed and approved by WorkSafe. A supervisor must be on-site when friable asbestos is being removed.
A Class A licence is required for the removal of friable asbestos, asbestos contaminated soil and asbestos contaminated dust.
Friable asbestos is considered more dangerous than non-friable or Class B asbestos. This material poses a higher risk of exposing people to airborne asbestos fibres.
Class A asbestos is also known as friable asbestos.
The removal of friable asbestos is performed differently than non-friable removal. Additional measures such as negative air units, decontamination units and powered air purifying respirators (PAPR) may be required.
WorkSafe must be notified at least 5 days prior to the removal of Class A asbestos.
